The Wildly Fluctuating Price of Oil

Everybody seems to be talking about the controversy surrounding the wildly fluctuating price of oil. But what is needed is why this is happening. There is a political dimension to this which pretty much explain the reason for all this. First have a look at the link below from the Guardian Newspaper in the UK, its very interesting indeed.

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jan/17/china-economic-crisis-world-economy-global-capitalism

Below is an analysis of the unfolding situation:

- First of all, the price of oil falls due to UK influence to strike at America's Shale oil production. When King Salman became King he reduced the production of oil therefore the price rose.

- Iran nuclear deal - oil falls (to facilitate deal) then rises after deal.

- Then it falls sharply - America's policy to fix the last financial crises (printing money which devalued the dollar) harmed other nations such that they (France, China, Russia) began to call to replace the Dollar as the world's main monetary currency! Because the value of their dollar reserves was dwindling. Still America arrogantly stayed on its policy of printing money (this helped their Shale oil production then).

This is why China and Russia is buying and stocking up on Gold reserves. China is trying to overtake America's haul of gold and pushing the world away from the dollar. This rang alarm bells in Washington and it represented a great danger to America because its dollar is an important pillar of its Capitalist system and ensures its dominance over the world. Whoever owns the dollar has influence over the prices of petrol and global trade.

- As a result of this events, it has now adopted a policy that leads to the raising of the price (value) of the dollar or reducing the price of oil by increasing oil production*. The countries doing this are America and Canada and the agents of America in OPEC and particularly Saudi, Iran and Iraq who have all increased their oil production. (The lifting of economic sanctions and allowing Iran to export its oil helps in this regard) Also America has lifted its ban on exporting its own oil which had been in place for 40 years. A number of American oil companies has managed to use technology to bear this decrease in prices by reducing the cost of extraction and still remain profitable even at the $20 range.

(* To explain why the dollar value increases when the price of oil falls, firstly the price of oil is measured in dollars and always has been. Flooding the market with oil decreases the actual value of oil which increases the value of the dollar, as the same amount of money buys an increasing amount of oil. America presents this as proof of the strengthening of the American economy.  We know that this is due to the Muslim countries flooding the market with oil.

Therefore increasing the quantity of oil decreases the price of oil, which is what America wants right now.*)

But the problem here is that the large oil surplus has been accompanied by a powerful shrinkage in demand (especially from China but also Europe and Japan) and all of that has led to a sharp decrease in the oil prices which has led to the further rising price of the Dollar…

Don't forget the interest rate. There is no real recovery since 2008 and the high dollar is causing problems in its exports hence a gradual increase. An interest rate that is too low is not a indicator of a recovery or confidence and that the economy is still depressed. They need the rate to be higher in order to reap more profits especially for the banks and companies and also to increase its global political influence. So oil price went down when the rate went up, and also the shares went up at the stock markets (which is good for them).

- Also as a result the costs of retaining gold goes up! So Gold prices goes down which harms those countries trying to depend on gold reserves instead of the dollar (as mentioned earlier). America wants to preserve the Dollar as the global currency, to make other countries continuously tie their currencies to it, and as a money reserve for states instead of gold and to make dealing with gold unprofitable and useless to keep it as reserves. It doesn’t want a return to gold and it does not want the world to return to this system because it will harm America.

Its worthless paper (fiat) currency (which is not backed by anything) buys resources around the world and funds its military machine. It strikes the economies of other countries (via IMF, World Bank etc.) through what it calls aid which is nothing of the sort, and makes its economy dominate other states, international financial institutions and financial markets.

- This is a vital issue for America that's why its doing this. It wants to prove that it has rid itself from the consequences and fallout of the financial crisis and that its economy is strong.

This is particular in regards to China and Russia as they are moving towards getting rid of the dominant control of the dollar and making their currency reserves more reliant upon gold.

Therefore, by this America controls the international economic situation and particularly the influential commodities like oil. The prices fall or rise in accordance to its Dollar and the interest rate that its Central Bank sets. As a result, if the American economy slumps then it affects all of the economies in the world as a result.

What is necessary (in this situation) is to cease tying local (national) currencies to the dollar and for the states to abandon using it for their monetary reserves. And from there their dependence should be upon gold and silver and making it the standard currency the world over.

- This is simply currency wars that is being played out now, and states at economic wars with each other. This is an example of Capitalism at its finest.

Allah swt has obliged the buying and selling of products, exchanges, trade etc to be carried out by the gold and silver standard where monies is backed by them. This major step cannot be done without the re-establishment of the Khilafah Rashida state of which it doesn't exist anywhere in the world.

Allah swt says "They say we are making peace. Nay! They are making mischief
but they perceive it not."

And: "They plot and they plan, but Allah too plans
and the best of the planners is Allah."

Mecca Crane Collapse

On 11 September 2015, a crawler crane toppled over onto the Masjid al-Haram, the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. 118 people were killed and 394 injured. The accident has been cited as the deadliest crane collapse in modern history.

It is with sadness that we witness yet another tragedy upon the pilgrims visiting the Holy Kaaba. I pray that Allah swt accepts it from the pilgrims and that they died at His House with the Talbiyah on their lips, forgives them and admits them as the Shuhada ameen. And to grant increased iman, patience and taqwa to those families and friends that they have left behind.

We owe it to those who passed away/injured and to their families to seek answers to this tragedy. As we all know there has been accident after accident engulfing the pilgrims and it shows a disturbing regular pattern. We have an understanding and that which we all accept is that Allah swt will choose whom He wills to die in His swt's path and raise them to the status of the Shuhada and this is a great blessing indeed, not just to those who died but to their families as well providing they stay patient.

However I have been observing with some concern that many Muslims are giving them the Martyr’s death and then just stop there, forget about what happened and just carry on with their lives with no more thoughts on this whatsoever. As Muslims we should NOT be of the mentality that we say just that they are shaheed its a martyr's death so good for them! Isn't this fatalism? Where is the concern that more of these accidents will happen again, the impact upon their families, and those who are traumatized, injured or maimed or disfigured or disabled for the rest of their lives and perhaps living with pain and suffering? You may 'celebrate' the martyrdom of others but what about the injured? Are you celebrating their predicament? Will you, or your spouse or children, want to be the ones who survived, but are horrendously injured perhaps for the rest of your lives? Will you want to be asked about this on the Day of Judgement for being involved in works that resulted in killing of your fellow brothers and sisters especially the pilgrims in the Haram?

What about the image of Islam and Muslims to the rest of the world? The media and people are quick to grasp on this fact that we do not care for the health, safety and well-being of our fellow Muslims. Doesn't Islam say when there's an obstacle on the road we remove it? We must do what we can to be safe and protect ourselves and others and to ensure we strive for zero tolerance for casualties, and the result is from Allah swt. The best death in Islam is certainly the Shaheed and we should pray for this but we do not 'seek' death in such a manner as to take risks with our lives or other people's lives otherwise this is considered suicide, manslaughter or murder! Even in the battlefield you take all the necessary precautions to safeguard yourselves and your fellow soldiers and not go blindly forth unprotected or without any strategy on the front line in front of the enemy. It is Allah swt who decides who lives and who dies not us.

This paints an anti-Islam picture in their minds in that we celebrate ‘death’ just like the way other extreme groups do and that we have no concern for careful planning, preparation and administration of large-scale events like the Hajj. ‘It is an act of God’ we say…’A martyr’s death!’ we exclaim. Just imagine what sort of picture we are painting to the non-Muslims with these slogans? It certainly does not in any figment of my imagination speak of inviting others to our noble and beautiful deen:

And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does good righteous deeds and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims."
[Surah Fussilat 41:33]

Accountability

It is not just the Saudi authorities who are responsible for this tragedy, it is us too. Just look at our mentality and how we’re behaving collectively. Will we not be accountable too? If the Muslim Ummah is a deep and thinking Ummah, a just, careful and balanced Ummah, an accountable Ummah with fear in our hearts for Allah swt, concern for our fellow brothers and sisters around the world wherever they may be and whatever they are doing and in whatever condition they are in, we will not be in our current situation that we are in today.

Furthermore isn't this a misunderstanding of al-Qadaar wa al-Qadr (fate and destiny)? We have total freedom and choice to do want we want in this life but we also recognize that we live in this world where we have no choice but to follow the natural laws of the universe. We will be accountable for things we can control and not for things we can't control like the weather, gravity and other such phenomena. Therefore we need to be aware of this world we live in with its inherent dangers and risks and prepare, plan and act accordingly to reduce harm. So in other words to anticipate the dangers and work to try and completely eliminate the risks, work safely or better yet - do we really need to do this?

The public opinion of the Ummah is a very important one which must never be overlooked and disregarded for it has in the past powered us to become a world-leading nation coming from the deserts of Arabia. If the public opinion of this Ummah was more 'revived' than we currently are today, then this accident would not have happened if Allah swt wills it. This is because the authorities would have been under much pressure under our watchful eyes to carry out their duties carefully and diligently including the contractors working on the site, inspectors and government to name a few. And our judicial and punishment systems would account and prosecute those responsible. And we would never ever accept the authorities blaming the accident on the weather! (In fact it might not even be the strong winds that caused the collapse as they claim.)

Alhumdulillah there are already deep and thinking Muslims in this Ummah who deserve the pleasure of Allah swt:

The Western companies and authorities have very robust health and safety systems and culture in place. They record 'everything' even near-miss incidents which did not happen but potentially could have happened and so lessons can be learnt and acted upon to prevent any actual incidents occurring in the future.

What happened that night

The incident reportedly occurred shortly before 5:20 pm on Friday, one of the busiest times of the week. The crane fell into the east side of the mosque, with its boom crashing through the roof. One witness reported that the crane fell on the third floor above Al-Safa and Al-Marwah at 5:45 pm.

There were strong sand storms in the region over the preceding week. The authority said an hour before the disaster that Mecca was experiencing medium to heavy rains. There were also reports of winds of more than 40 kilometres per hour (25 mph). However, the exact cause of the crane collapse was not confirmed.

As I type this, the death toll has gone up to 118 now. Watched the video on the news showing the crane falling and it was terrifying. The crane(s) used in question are the German-made Liebherr crawler crane LR 11350:

The biggest of those cranes can lift up to 1350 tonnes at a 12 m radius from the centre of the mobile vehicular track base unit; and since the longest length of the boom is 150 m (which is a little less in height due to a lateral angle of the boom extending upwards) the most that these cranes can reach horizontally is 150 m. So the circumference of the exclusion zone from the crane should be at least 150 m even when the crane is not being used and is staying stationary.

These crawler cranes are the biggest of its kind and it is these that came crashing down on the Muhrims. There were high winds and rain up to 83km/h and there were several cranes there! The Haram represents a giant construction site and thus it should be treated as one accordingly. Wisdom dictates that no one should be there until the project is finished. The Autumn period is when half of Mecca's thunderstorms occur so there's no great surprise there. The Saudi authorities and companies know about this and they have experience of it. At least during the Hajj season all construction activities and equipment should stop and be removed away from the site, and the site under construction should be secured.

Did the contractor do a risk assessment? What about the government inspectors who supervise the expansion? Don't they have much explaining to do? The tragedy could have been avoided if they follow strict health and safety rules and operate best practices and standard operating procedures for crawler cranes. As someone commented online - a tower crane has a solid balanced and compensated static base as well as lateral holding out riggers; but a crawler crane has only a mobile vehicular track base unit, and with a crane of this size over 250 MTon with extended boom, once the wind goes over 70 miles per hour, the operation of the crane shall stop and the boom lowered down to the ground so that it will not overbalance.

The Fitna in the Haram

Irfan al-Alawi, co-founder of the Islamic Heritage Research Foundation, criticised the Saudi authorities, believing that their redevelopment of holy sites was not only damaging history, but putting pilgrims' lives at risk.

Reports of incidents of worker deaths and dangerous lack of safety precautions on building work in the city
by Hugh Miles in Cairo and agencies in Mecca
Sunday 13 September 2015

“There have been quite a few minor incidents, workers getting killed, but it never reaches the press,”

...There have been many accidents. Last year, the last few floors of a building being constructed right next to the clock tower caught fire and they had to call the fire engine from Taif, which is about 45 mins away, to help extinguish it.

“There is no health and safety system in place...

...“These cranes have been standing there for the last three years....

(See the video of demolition work taking place there without any controls)

“The development project is primarily a means for the regime to distribute oil wealth and patronage among a limited circle of princes and their entourage....

Property around the Grand Mosque is among the most expensive in the world, but there are squalid districts not far from the centre.

Conclusion (or rather the lack of it)

Isn't there a suspicion of possible negligence? If true then this would constitute murder or manslaughter but we may not know this. The Saudi government is laying the blame on the Saudi bin Laden company and has sanctioned some of the top executives. But what about the government -sanctioned (crazy) development taking place in the Haram? Their argument is to accommodate the ever increasing number of pilgrims every year. (Not to mention their other arguments like people starting to worship historical sites a la shirk but this is dubious at best) There is a sensible way to go about doing this:

  • Keep a quota on the numbers and limit the people to the maximum-allowed capacity
  • Do not destroy the historical sites and keep existing infrastructure but allow modifications, extensions within the existing limits of the city
  • Organise the Hajj in a better way, surely they have experience of doing this
  • Update and redevelop the city so that all benefit from it from the poor to the rich. This means sensible infrastructure development to to provide modern facilities, housing, roads, transports, education etc for all people and not just develop the city to benefit just the rich. We don't need the tower clock, plush 5-star hotels and shopping malls in the Haram. It is a place of pilgrimage and prayer, not luxury living and shopping for the rich

Only Allah swt knows best and what really happened. Looking back at this article it seems to me that this was waiting to happen and I don't think it was really an 'accident' or an 'act of God' so-to-speak. This is an insult to Allah swt, His Messenger (saw) and to all of us believers and I pray that we are safeguarded from His swt's displeasure ameen.

One thing is for sure: Going for Hajj is pretty dangerous at the moment...

Final word

"Nothing we do is so important that we cannot take time to do it safely."

Ramadhan in Burma

Asalaam mu aleikum,

On the eve of Eid 2012 we are witnessing yet further untold killings, tortures and massacres of the Muslims around the world. Before I get to say Eid Mubarak in a few days inshallah, lets stop and think. This not is happening in every month of the Islamic calendar but it is also happening in Ramadhan itself. The month when Muslims worldwide celebrate with happiness and joy all month long having the opportunity to sacrifice their food and drink and worship the Creator like no other.

Please scroll down the email and just see for yourself what is upsetting me so much...

WARNING: It is very gruesome and graphic. For the faint and soft hearted, if you have to look, just look from the side of your eye and scroll all the way to the bottom of the email where there is an explanation of what is going on. You have been warned.

Slaughter of Muslims in Burma - June 2012

After reading and watching helplessly the recent massacre of minority Burmese Muslims by the Buddhist majority, let not another hypocrite sing that phoney and repugnant 'song' about Buddhists being "peaceful."
In June 2012, hundreds Burmese Muslims have been butchered, and many more injured and made homeless in Burma as a result religious intolerance by the Buddhist majority. The Burmese military government, far from trying to resolve the problem and protect the minority, has been silently conniving with the rioters by creating greater hardships for the Muslim minority.

The reason of this June 2012 riot is unknown except for the periodical outbursts of the Burmese Buddhists to show their might and vent their anger on the helpless minority. It is commonly accepted that the June 2012 massacre of Burmese Muslims was intentionally orchestrated by the rioters in collaboration with the government. Yet the world, including the UN, is conveniently silent. The brazenly hypocritical and unscrupulous woman, Aung San Suu Kyi, is very prompt at accusing the Burmese military of human rights violations when she is under house arrest. But she finds nothing wrong when the military helps the Buddhist mobs to murder the innocent Muslim minority of her country.

As in India, anti-Muslim riots are nothing unusual in Burma. Violence in Burma against Muslims have been erupting periodically since the 1920s based simply on religious intolerance by the Buddhist majority.

The Muslims of Burma mainly belong to the Arakan state in western Burma. They are known as Rohingya or Burmese Muslims. The term "Rohingya" has been derived from the Arabic word "Raham" meaning sympathy. Muslim settlements began being established in the Arakan province of Burma since the arrival of the Arabs in the 8th century. Presently about 800,000 Rohingya live in Burma. The United Nations describes them as "one of the world’s most persecuted minorities." Yet it has never bothered to help them.

Religious freedom for Muslims in Burma has been systematically curbed. In the post 9/11 era, random accusations of "terrorism" against Muslims have become a common form of persecution and harassment by Burmese Buddhists. Burmese Government does not consider Rohingya Muslims as citizens and they are hated by the Buddhist majority. Rohingya Muslims in Burma have long demanded recognition as an indigenous ethnic group with full citizenship by birthright. But the Government regards them as illegal immigrants from neighboring Bangladesh and denies them citizenship.

"Nobel Prize winner," Aung San Suu Kyi, does not consider Muslims as citizens. Speaking at London School of Economics meeting on June 2012 during her visit to the UK, she said "Rohingya Muslims should not be considered citizens." Later during her press conference at Downing Street, she did not condemn the killings of Rohingya Muslims taking place in Burma. Instead, she simply said that this "ethnic conflict should be investigated and dealt with wisdom." It wasn't just an insufficient response but a very shocking one from someone supposed to have won a "Noble Peace Prize."

The notorious master hypocrite and undercover CIA agent, Dalai Lama, continues to globe trot without mentioning a single word of the dangerously growing Buddhist intolerance in Burma, Thailand, Tibet and across the world. Such intolerance and persecution invariably result in resistance by the oppressed. Many Muslims have joined armed resistance groups, fighting for greater freedom in Burma.

On June 3rd 2012, eight Muslims returning to Rangoon in a bus after visiting a Masjid in the Arakan province were attacked by a mob of hundreds of Buddhists and slaughtered brutally. An eye-witness reported that after the mass murder "the culprits were celebrating triumph spitting and tossing wine and alcohol on the dead bodies lying on the road."

"These innocent people have been killed like animals," said Abu Tahay, of the National Democratic Party for Development, which represents the country’s much-persecuted stateless Muslim Rohingya community.

The Rohingya Muslims of Burma have continued to suffer from human rights violations under the Burmese junta since 1970s. Over the years thousands of Rohingya refugees have fled to neighboring countries like Thailand, Indonesia and Bangladesh etc. Even as refugees they have been facing hardships and have suffered persecution by the Thai government. In February 2009, a group of 5 boats packed with Burmese Rohingya Muslims were taken out and abandoned in the open sea by the Thai army. Four of these boats sank in a storm and one was washed ashore near the Indonesian islands. The few survivors who were rescued by Indonesian authorities told horrific stories of being captured and beaten by the Thai military and then abandoned at open sea.

Being "peaceful" or "humble" (as claimed by their biased supporters) is a far cry concerning the Burmese Buddhists. Their vindictive temperament prowls for vendetta, waiting to use even the most insignificant occurrence as an excuse to perpetrate violence on Burmese Muslims. At any time, if there's some ethnic disturbance between Muslims and Buddhists/Hindus in any other country, the Burmese Buddhists waste no time going on a murderous spry killing the Muslim minority in Burma. If there is the slightest of trouble between Muslims and non-Muslims in Indonesia, it's taken as a pretext to kill Muslims in Burma by Buddhist mobs. The destruction of the statues in Bamiyan (Afghanistan), created an immediate excuse to commit violence against Muslims in Burma in 2001. The firebrand Buddhist monks demanded a Muslim masjid to be destroyed in retaliation. Mobs of Buddhists led by monks, vandalized Muslim-owned businesses and property in Burma, and attacked and killed Muslims in Muslim communities.

Gruesome images of murdered Rohingya Muslims in the recent June 2012 riots in Burma have been circulated on websites, resulting in protests in several Muslim countries and by various human rights activists around the world demanding justice & protection in Burma for the minority, but has fallen on deaf ears as usual, getting little or no coverage from mainstream news channels.

PLEASE SEND THIS AROUND. THE WORLD HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE TRUTH.

Continued from top...

"Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the Muslims are the Jews and the Idol Worshippers." al-Maidah 5:82

"As the world's attention is focused on the Arab spring sweeping across the Islamic World, toppling dictator after dictator, liberating the Muslims from decades of tyranny and oppression, in the far east, savagery against our Muslim brothers and sisters knows no bounds.

Where once the Buddhist majority protested against their suppression by the military junta of Burma, they are now the tyrant oppressors burning Muslims alive in their homes and buses just because they are Muslims. How are they to fast, pray and complete their entire Islamic obligations under such circumstances?"

Inaction, passivity and fatalism has got us into this mess as well as defeatism and despair. These are cowardice concepts which Islam does not allow us to have. Procrastination is another messy concept which diverts us from the real issues at hand. What is going to make us move and go out into society (a la the Arab Spring) following the footsteps of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) and publicly calling for the re-establishment of the Khilafah?

Abu Hurayra (ra) said that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “Verily the Imam (Khalifah) is but a shield from behind which the people fight and with which they protect themselves. So if he ordered us to observe the taqwa of Allah and he was just he would have equal to these (actions) in reward, and if he ordered other than that it would be against him equal to that.” [Muslim]

Is a dua-only action going to change the situation of the Muslims? Dua is important but only when it is coupled with action. Unfortunately many Muslims today are only concerned with just making lots of duas. A classic example to explain why this is wrong is when Abu Bakr (ra) made preparations before Jihad to such an extent that the people thought that he does not depend on Allah (swt) for anything. But when he (ra) made dua the night before the battle, he made dua to such as extent that the people thought that he (ra) depends on Allah swt for everything! This is a good lesson for the Individualistic Muslims of today. The Prophet (saw) said in the following hadiths:

Al-Bazzar and Tabarani narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger (saw) said: "You shall enjoin good and you shall forbid munkar, or Allah will empower on you the evil ones, then your best ones will call upon Allah and he shall not respond."

On the authority of Aisha (ra) the Messenger (saw) said: "O people! Allah says: Enjoin good and forbid evil before you call me and I will not reply to you, and before you ask me and I will not give you, and before you seek my forgivenss and I will not give victory to you." [Bukhari, Muslim]

“By Him in Whose Hands is my soul! You must enjoin the good and forbid the evil, otherwise Allah will be about to send upon you a punishment from Him, then you would pray to Him but He would not answer you.” [Ahmad b. Hanbal: 22212]

Perfecting oneself at the expense of the Muslim Ummah in other lands being butchered is as alien to Islam as pork is to our stomachs. If the Prophet (saw) decided to perfect himself while receiving the new revelation, then his (saw)'s wife Khadija (ra) will not have become Muslim. His (saw)'s companions will also not have become Muslim. The arabian peninsula will not have become Muslim and thus the Middle East and parts of Asia, Africa and the Far East. My family would still be in India worshipping cows and the Prophet (saw) would not have established Islam upon this Earth.

What did the Prophet (saw) and his Sahabas (ra) do in Mecca? Just what is it that they did that caused the backlash against them by the Qur'aysh when they tortured them and boycotted them?

They called to the destruction of the Kufr way of life and the establishment of Islam. This they mashallah successfully did in Medina in 622. The rest is history...but only for 13 centuries until the destruction of the Uthmani Khilafah in Istanbul in 1924. From that point is our history. We will be judged by Allah swt on the Day of Judgement for our blatant inaction, our abandonment of the biggest obligation, and concentrating on other things that does nothing whatsoever to bring the Ultimate Victory to the Ummah of Muhammad (saw). We must do exactly what the Prophet (saw) and the Sahabas did and that is a very important Sunnah from the Prophet (saw). The continuing killing of the Muslims while we ignore the vital issues for so long and concentrating on other things has become a stain on us.

Therefore we need to publicly carry out the Dawah to the Muslims worldwide wherever we are to wake her up from her slumber and agitate and raise awareness of something that is blatantly missing from our Deen. How many Ramadhans are we going to have before we wake up? How many massacres? Are you waiting for the Khilafah to come to you? Or are we going to be proactive and establish it with our hands? As one brother put it:

**SILENCE IS BETRAYAL**

"In this blessed month of sacrifice, endurance, patience and perseverance we need to bring focus that it is also a month of liberation, conquests and victories. As important as it is for our Ibadah to be complete and wholesome, so it is the right of every Muslim."

The stories of the Battles of Badr, Hattin and Ain Jaloot in Ramadhan are not some abstract realities that happened ages ago and will not happen again. And that Jihad has not been abandoned or made 'defensive' only. There are various hadiths talking about the important of Jihad:

“I have been sent before the Last Hour with the (command of the) sword until Allah (swt) is worshipped alone without any associates. My sustenance has been written in the shade of my spear. Humiliation has been ordained for those who oppose my command. And whoever imitates a people is one of them.”

"Shall I not tell you of the peak of the matter, its pillar, and its topmost part?" Muadh bin Jabal said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "The peak of the matter is Islam; the pillar is prayer; and its topmost part is jihad." [Related by Al-Tirmithi, who said it was a fine and true hadith.]

Jihad in Ramadhan timeline:

Makkan idolaters. "The great battle of Badr", was the first battle between Muslims and infidels.

"Has not Syria shown just how much Khayr (goodness) there is in the Ummah? The mosques in Syria are full and streets are almost full at the first Fajr prayer in Ramadhan. Mashallah. So where are those who said the Ummah 'isn't ready' and 'loves the Dunya too much'?" Even a mother in Syria was busy preparing her son for fighting against Bashar and his thugs. Mashallah.

I have heard of many crying taking place in the Ummah. Even here in Edmonton, one Sheikh gave a khutba and managed to make every single person cry in the masjid and there were a lot of people. But what the Ummah needs is ACTION, not tears. Tears will not change anything. Men crying like women will not help our brothers and sisters around the world. These are called Crocodile tears because crying is all that some people do, but don't actually do anything except console the victims, or maybe to make themselves feel better afterwards. Why are we crying like women when we men are not brave enough or man enough to defend our brothers and sisters?!

"So much for the Turkish officials going to Burma and shedding some crocodile tears there and did some acting like consoling them and cuddling them and offering words of comfort. The intellectually and ideologically declined Muslims promoting these crocodile tears and celebrating it as eid before the Eid. There was a time when Muslim Armies would be mobilized for the help of a single Muslim but now Muslims gets satisfied with a few crocodile tears shed by agent rulers who implement Taghoot (Kufr rule) upon the Muslims." How about sending the Turkish army to do Jihad against the Military Junta and the Buddhists of Burma? How about doing it in Ramadhan?

Finally one brother said that:

"Islam is a practical religion, and Allah swt is not our Mr Fix it that anything goes wrong we just pray to Allah swt to fix it and hope for the best. We are all created with a mind to think, with a body to act to remove oppression and injustice.

The Islamic State will not be a utopian euphoria full of luxury, indulgences, and extreme lavishness. It will be a state in which justice will be upheld and the highest code of authority (Allah's shariah) will be mandated. Yes, everyone will be taken care of to the best of the ability to the state, people will have dignity and never be shamed or mistreated, and life will revolve around the deen and practicing Islam in its entirety. No cutting corners, no corruption, no political scandals, and absolutely no elite favoritism. The fisherman will be treated the same as a doctor and no one will have bragging rights of any sort--class, gender, and lineage. If you want to know exactly how things will run, refer to our past 1300 years of glory. In the past, we have great examples throught Abu Bakr and Umar amongst so many where they lived simple and modest lives, sacrificing for the sake of the Ummah. They did not live in the lap of luxury but made sure, even if it was from their own pockets and efforts, that the people of Mohammed's Ummah were taken care of. This in no way entails perfection but perfection is only for Allah and nothing will ever be perfect on earth, however, Allah's laws and rules will be sovereign. If you are looking for the fantasy and dreamlike realm of exhilaration, well then work for it, isn't that what Jennah is for?

Work for the Khilafah, its a fardh."

Your brother,
OD
